Moi Biarritz

Welcome to my webpage

I am currently in post doctoral position in the UPRES EA 2415 unit research at Montpellier and work on liver transplant follow-up and complications via administrative databases.

I held a PhD in biostatistics in October 2017 at Montpellier University, France. My thesis, under the supervision of Prs Paul Landais, Jérôme Azé and Sandra Bringay, was a teamwork between UPRES EA 2415 - Decision Support for a Personalized Medicine and ADVanced Analytics for data SciencE (ADVANSE) team of the Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier (LIRMM). In this collaborative work, I developed methods for exploring health patients’ pathways via medico-administrative databases by combing data mining techniques with machine learning and/or biostatistics. I also proposed method to characterise patient flows and to identify cost and time profiles in these patients’ flows which could be useful for health planning.

You will find part of work realised in our review article on healthcare trajectories. We have combined text mining techniques to highlight the topics covered in the various publications and to be able to better target the articles of interest.
