SIMBig 2014

Call for Demonstrations

Submission is now open!:
Go to https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=simbig2014 and follow instructions.

All submissions will be reviewed by at least three programme committee members. The submissions will be judged on originality, relevance, technical quality and presentation.

SIMBig is the first symposium on Information Management and Big Data for the presentation of new research results and for the demonstration of new systems and techniques in the broad field of computer science.

On behalf of the Scientific Program Committee, we have great pleasure in inviting you to submit one or more demos (for oral or poster presentation) in accordance with the instructions that are provided in Demo Submission Guidelines

We would like to thank you in advance for your scientific contribution to the 1st SIMBig and look forward to having the opportunity to showcase and disseminate your research.

Demonstrations present first-hand experience with research prototypes or operational systems. They provide opportunities to exchange ideas gained from implementing Information Management and Big Data systems, and to obtain feedback from expert users.

What makes a good demo? A good demonstration submission is interesting to a SIMBig audience and shows a novel solution to a problem. The demonstration submission should address the following questions: Who is my target user? Why does my system exist and why is it important? What does my demonstration do and how does it work? How does it compare with existing systems? Finally, how and when might my technology have an impact?

Demonstration submissions are welcome in any of the areas related to any aspect of Information Management and Big Data, as identified in the call for contributions and on the SIMBig 2014 website. Wireless network access, along with a table and poster mount backdrop, will be provided for accepted demonstrations.
