The LIRMM Microelectronics Department plays a very active role in the national and international community, through varied activities such as:

• Work carried out for many years in collaboration with major industry groups and leading research organizations (Atmel, Cadence, CEA, CNES, EADS, Infineon, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Synopsys, Verigy and more)
  
• Participation in numerous national and European programs (ACI, ANY projects, FP7 European projects, CATRENE projects, ENIAC…)
  
• Ongoing relationships with numerous European and American universities
  
• Conference organization and participation in executive committees and major conference program committees
  
• Company creation: Cortus, Menta, Netheos, Satin-IP, Oridao, winners of the French National Contest for the Creation of Innovative Technologies (Oseo)
  
• Member of the “Secure Communicating Solutions” competitiveness cluster (SCS)
  
• Creation of the LIRMM / NXP Semiconductors joint laboratory “ISyTest”, 2006
  
• Management of the Montpellier CNFM - National Coordination for Microelectronics Education - (PCM), in particular the CNFM National Center for Computer-Aided Design Resources (CRCC) and the CNFM National Center for Test Resources (CRTC)
  
• Participation in various boards, councils and committees for the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and CNRS
