Ordering from INIST

  • Before ordering, check both the LIRMM documentation database and the BiblioSTIC portal (access requires a password). If you can't find what you are looking for in either of those places, check the INIST documentation database catalog, where you will find articles, position papers, reports, conferences, and more. Then order the desired item.

  • Your department director OR the documentation service (Isabelle GOUAT or Martine PERIDIER) will give you a user name and password to impute your order to the proper department.

    Follow these steps to place an order:

            1) Click on this link: INIST
            2) Then click on "passer vos commandes" (place your orders) and "saisie des commandes" (enter orders)
            3) Lastly, enter the user name (numbers) and the password supplied by your department

    Make sure you enter your name in the "Référence Lecteur" (Reader Reference) fields so that Martine Peridier can notify you when your order arrives.

  • BiblioSTIC: INIST-CNRS multi-base access

    Information portal for Information Sciences, Technologies and Communication (STIC)- BiblioSTIC gives CNRS groups involved with STIC activities access to a range of documentation resources and databases:

    * Come to the library to obtain access codes reserved for CNRS personnel or go to the appropriate page on the Intranet

    - Databases available via the WebSpirs : Current, Contents, ISD, Pascal (15,5 millions bibliographic references in Science, Technology, Medicine), Inspec, Medline (PubMed), Francis ...
    - Electronic journals published by ACM (Digital Library)
    - Electronic journals published by ELSEVIER (Freedom collection, generalist journal catalog with around 1,800 entries)
    - Nature magazine
    - Traitement du Signal magazine
    - A selection of web sites in the field of information sciences, technology, and communications, as well as electronic archives from IOP (Institute of Physics)

    The BiblioSTIC portal also offers access to Web of Knowledge tests (Web of Science, JCR, ISI proceedings, Medline, and Index Chemicus) and Springer.

    Once you are logged in, you are responsible for:

    -  Respecting each database's user licences (cf. publisher sites)
    -   Consulting databases exclusively for study, teaching, or research purposes only
    -   Printing and/or downloading reasonable quantities of results
