Danièle Hérin received her Bachelors degree in Econometry from Toulouse University in 1970 and a Master in Computer Science from the Lyon University in 1973, her Computer Science Ph.D. in 1978 and his HdR (Habilitation to Manage Researchs) in 1986 from Nice Sophia Antipolis University. From 1971-90 she was a Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Nice Sophia Antipolis University (I3S lab). She join the University Montpellier II faculty in 1991, at Polytech'Montpellier School for Teaching and at LIRMM Lab for Resarch. She was co-manager of I3S Lab (1987-1990) then LIRMM Lab (1992-2000).She has coauthored four books, and has served on various program committees. She is a "Palmes Académiques" fellow, and a team member of the Montpellier II University President.
