Supported by a Specific Action of the
CNRS, by a Color action of
INRIA, and by the European Network of Excellence "Kaleidoscope", we
participated to the identification of open problems
- Design and implementation of semi-automatic annotation tools including semantic aspects.
- Description of learning resources
and services using metadata,
annotations and ontologies, not ontly static but with ability to evolve
with the time. Description of data can change. So we suggest to adopt
an approch like this used by Edutella for data, in view to store
metadata, annotation and ontologies.
- Treatment of metadata with a
declarative mean, at a high
level of abstraction, in view to reduce significatly,
maintenance and development costs of learning applications.
- Definition of modular metadata
warehouses
able to install only needed
services. Indeed the services needed for learning applications,
particularly by resources storage, are different according to
applications of learning.

These works will apply to the field of education, but also in a general way for research, composition and diffusion of information and resources accessible to the Web.
