L'AEDA    est une association sans but lucratif qui ne vit que gr&acirc;ce aux cotisations    que lui versent ses membres. Ceux-ci sont qualifi&eacute;s par les statuts de    &quot;membres effectifs &quot; &quot; et ont pour vocation de r&eacute;aliser    ensemble les objectifs qui leur sont communs. Le montant de la cotisation annuelle    est fix&eacute; par l'Assembl&eacute;e G&eacute;n&eacute;rale ; il s'&eacute;l&egrave;ve    aujourd'hui &agrave; 3.000 FB.</font></p> <p><font color="#666666">L'AEDA conna&icirc;t une derni&egrave;re cat&eacute;gorie    de membres : celle des membres d'honneur , qui peut &ecirc;tre conf&eacute;r&eacute;e    par le Conseil &agrave; &quot;des personnalit&eacute;s de r&eacute;putation    qui ont contribu&eacute; de mani&egrave;re &eacute;minente au d&eacute;veloppement    et &agrave; l'harmonisation du Droit de l'Alimentation &quot;. Il a toujours    &eacute;t&eacute; consid&eacute;r&eacute; par le Conseil que la qualit&eacute;    de membre d'honneur devait &ecirc;tre r&eacute;serv&eacute;e &agrave; des sp&eacute;cialistes    de haut niveau en mati&egrave;re de droit ou de sciences de l'alimentation,    dont la notori&eacute;t&eacute; d&eacute;passe largement les fronti&egrave;res    de leur pays d'origine. Les membres d'honneur sont invit&eacute;s &agrave; assister    aux Conseils et y jouissent d'une voix consultative s'ils n'en font pas d&eacute;j&agrave;    partie par ailleurs .<br>   </font></p> <p><font color="#666666">Un r&eacute;gime similaire a &eacute;t&eacute; r&eacute;serv&eacute;,    dans la pratique, aux anciens pr&eacute;sidents (dits pr&eacute;sidents honoraires)    de l'AEDA bien que les statuts n'en fassent pas mention.
