TALN'99 est organise sous l'gide de l'ATALA &gt;(Association pour le Traitement Automatique des LAngues) et se tiendra &gt;conjointement avec la confrence RECITAL'99 (appel  communications  &gt;paratre sparment). &gt; &gt;   Les langues officielles de la confrence sont le franais et &gt;l'anglais. &gt; &gt;CALENDRIER &gt; &gt;date limite de rception des propositions : 15 octobre 1998 &gt;notification aux organisateurs :            31 octobre 1998 &gt;confrence:                                 12-17 juillet 1999 &gt; &gt;THMES &gt; &gt;   Les thmes de la confrence, sur lesquels devront porter tutoriels &gt;et workshops, sont les thmes habituels du TALN, comprenant, de faon &gt;non limitative : &gt; &gt;     lexique            morphologie    syntaxe        smantique &gt;     pragmatique        discours       analyse        gnration &gt;     rsum             dialogue       traduction automatique &gt;     approches logiques, symboliques et statistiques &gt; &gt;   TALN'99 souhaite galement accueillir des contributions de domaines &gt;proches dans lesquels le TALN joue un rle important, tels que : &gt; &gt;       aspects cognitifs &gt;       terminologie, acquisition de connaissances  partir de textes &gt;       extraction d'information &gt;       recherche documentaire &gt;       linguistique de corpus &gt;       utilisation d'outils de TALN pour la modlisation linguistique &gt;       enseignement assist par ordinateur &gt;       linguistique mathmatique &gt; &gt;ATELIERS THMATIQUES (WORKSHOPS) &gt; &gt;   Les ateliers se drouleront en parallle sur la base de 4 sances &gt;de 1h30 rparties sur 4 jours. Pour organiser un atelier, il est &gt;demand de faire parvenir au comit d'organisation, par courrier &gt;lectronique de prfrence, une courte proposition dcrivant le thme &gt;de l'atelier, la pertinence de son regroupement avec TALN'99, et un &gt;comit de programme envisag. Le responsable d'un workshop est charg &gt;de l'appel  communication et de la coordination de son comit de &gt;programme. &gt; &gt;   Contrairement  une annonce prcdente errone, la publication des &gt;communications reste  la charge du responsable. &gt; &gt;TUTORIELS &gt; &gt;   Les tutoriels se drouleront en parallle sur la base de 4 sances &gt;de 1h30 rparties sur 4 jours. October 1998) &gt;                      Cargse (Corsica, France) &gt;                         12. - 17. July 1999 &gt; &gt; &gt;   The Sixth Conference on Natural Language Processing (TALN'99) will &gt;be held at the Institute for Scientific Studies at Cargse, Corsica, &gt;France, 12. - 17. July, 1999. TALN'99 will last a whole week, and &gt;will include both workshops and tutorials. TALN'99 is organized under &gt;the auspices of ATALA (Association pour le Traitement Automatique des &gt;Langues, Association for NLP) and will take place jointly with the &gt;RECITAL'99 conference (call for papers to be issued separately). &gt; &gt; &gt;   The official languages of the conference are French and English. &gt; &gt;CALENDAR &gt; &gt;deadline for proposals :      15. July 1999 &gt; &gt;TOPICS &gt; &gt;   Workshops and tutorials should address usual NLP issues. Relevant &gt;topics include (but are not limited to) : &gt; &gt;     lexicon            morphology     syntax         semantics &gt;     pragmatics         discourse      parsing        text generation &gt;     abstraction/summarization         dialogue       machine translation &gt;     logical,symbolical and statistical approaches &gt; &gt;   TALN'99 also welcomes submissions from fields for which NLP plays &gt;an important role, such as : &gt; &gt;     cognitive aspects &gt;     terminology, knowledge acquisition &gt;     information extraction &gt;     documentary retrieval &gt;     corpus linguistics &gt;     management and acquisition of linguistic resources &gt;     computer assisted learning &gt;     mathematical linguistics &gt;     NLP tools for linguistic modelization &gt; &gt;WORKSHOPS &gt; &gt;   Workshops will be held in parallel, on the basis of four sessions &gt;of one hour and a half, distributed across four days. To organize a &gt;workshop, please send to the organizing committee, preferably via &gt;email, a short proposal describing the topic of the workshop, its &gt;relevance with respect to the main conference, and the programme &gt;committee you consider. Call for papers, and programme committee &gt;coordination will be left to workshop organizers. &gt; &gt;   Contrary to what had been erroneously indicated in a previous call, &gt;workshop organizers will also be in charge of the publication of &gt;accepted papers. &gt; &gt;TUTORIALS &gt; &gt;   Tutorials will be held in parallel, on the basis of four sessions &gt;of two hours, distributed across four days. To propose a tutorial, &gt;please send to the organizing committee, preferably via email, a short &gt;proposal describing the topic and content of the tutorial, its &gt;relevance for the conference, and usual data about the teacher(s).
