ABSTRACT

Mission Management System for Package of Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicules

This paper presents the development and the test of a mission management system (MMS) for a package of Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV). The mission is carried out in an environment including a safe area and a dangerous area, no-flying-zones, a command and control centre, the terrain, threats and targets. The MMS architecture presents reactive and deliberative levels. It includes a planner that distributes the plan computation effort among the UCAV. Simulation results indicate that the MMS is able to carry on missions, to activate contingent behaviours, to decide whether or not to plan and to plan.
