associate professor at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fdsweb.univ-montp2.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Montpellier<\/a> (ma\u00eetre de conf\u00e9rences HDR, hors classe) and a researcher at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lirmm.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LIRMM laboratory<\/a> within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lirmm.fr\/equipes\/advanse\/\">ADVANSE<\/a> team. I received my habilitation in 2020. I used to be a postdoctoral fellow at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecp.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ecole Centrale Paris<\/a> (France) between 2009 and 2012, after receiving a PhD in Cognitive Science from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-osnabrueck.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Osnabrueck<\/a> (Germany) in 2010. Several years before that, I obtained a MSc (or DEA as they used to call it in France) in Applied Mathematics (option Machine Learning) from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.univ-amu.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Provence<\/a> in Marseille.<\/p><p>My research activities focus on <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, with a particular interest in knowledge graphs, NLP, machine learning for graphs and language, knowledge and information extraction. I explore these topics across a variety of application domains, including journalism, biology, immunogenetics, and cultural heritage. Some of the keywords that charactirize my research are <strong>interdisplinarity<\/strong> (via collaborations with the social sciences, media &amp; cultural institutions),<strong> societal cohesion <\/strong>(e.g. via fighting disinformation),<strong> public health<\/strong> (e.g. via supporting vaccine research), <strong>open and inclusive science<\/strong>.<\/p><p>At LIRMM, I&rsquo;m co-leading the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lirmm.fr\/intelligence-artificielle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AI and Data Science<\/a> transversal axis. Most of my publications are indexed by <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=eWFy2AwAAAAJ&amp;hl=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Scholar<\/a> (H 19) and <a href=\"https:\/\/dblp.org\/pid\/36\/6753.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DBLP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-elementor-setting-key=\"title\" data-pen-placeholder=\"Type Here...\">Funded projects<\/h2>\n<p>I am currently coordinating the French-German ANR project <a href=\"https:\/\/ai4sci-project.org\/\">AI<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ai4sci-project.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4Sci<\/a> and the ANR PRC project <a href=\"https:\/\/dace-dl.github.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DACE-DL<\/a>.&nbsp; AI4Sci detects and analyses <strong>science-related discourse online<\/strong> (namley on X\/Twitter), with applications related to <strong>fake-news and disinformation detection<\/strong>. DACE-DL is building a foundational model for entity alignment across knowledge graphs by leveraging a<strong> neuro-symbolic AI<\/strong> approach, combining Natural Language Inference with graph neural models. I&rsquo;m also co-leading the FEDER<a href=\"https:\/\/ia-emotions.github.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> IA-EMOTIONS<\/a> project, which analyses<strong> emotions dynamics<\/strong> in conversations with <strong>generative AI<\/strong> chatbots. I&rsquo;m a member of the ANR <a href=\"https:\/\/anr-dig-ai.github.io\/content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DIG-AI<\/a> project. In the past, I used to co-lead the ANR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doremus.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOREMUS<\/a> project and was part of several ANR projects, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/d2kab.mystrikingly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">D2KAB<\/a> or PratikPharma.<\/p>\n<h2 data-elementor-setting-key=\"title\" data-pen-placeholder=\"Type Here...\">Knowledge graphs<\/h2>\n<p>Some examples of resources that I have developped in collaboration with colleagues from different fields include: <a href=\"https:\/\/data.gesis.org\/claimskg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ClaimsKG<\/a>, the first knowledge graph of fact-checked claims;
