My name is Michael Sioutis (Μιχαήλ Σιούτης in Greek) and, as of January 2023, I am a tenure-track Junior Professor of Hybrid Artificial Intelligence, affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier and the Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier. I will be working together with the COCONUT team, and the rest of the lab, on the interplay between knowledge representation and machine learning, especially in the context of attaining spatiotemporally-informed AI frameworks.

In February 2017 I successfully defended my PhD Thesis, titled Algorithmic Contributions to Qualitative Constraint-based Spatial and Temporal Reasoning, and became a Doctor of Artois University in Computer Science. During my doctoral research I was advised by Professors Jean-François Condotta, Bertrand Mazure, and Yakoub Salhi.

Please consult my Personal Homepage for information about my publications and software development, and more details about me in general.

You may find me at Bureau 3.144, on the 3rd floor of Bâtiment 4 in the Campus St Priest of the University of Montpellier.
