Papers are invited on relevant topics, including but not restricted to: * Tools and techniques for knowledge acquisition, knowledge refinement and knowledge validation * Languages and frameworks for knowledge modelling * Integration of knowledge acquisition techniques within larger systems, including knowledge engineering workbenches, hypermedia, database management systems, simulators, spreadsheets * Methods and techniques for reuse of knowledge and knowledge models * Distributed knowledge acquisition through infrastructures such as the Internet * Experimental studies on expertise as it relates to knowledge acquisition * Evaluations of knowlege acquisition techniques, tools and methods * Fundamental views of knowledge that affect the knowledge acquisition process and the use of knowledge in knowledge engineering Workshop attendance will be limited to 40 participants, one author for each paper accepted. The duration of the workshop will be 4 days, consisting of plenary sessions and working groups on selected issues. Software demonstrations related to presented papers are also encouraged. There will be an Open Day on Corporate Knowledge Management to be held in London immediately before the Workshop on the 13th May details to be announced. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Four copies of a full-length paper (up to 20 pages) should be sent to Nigel Shadbolt (see address below) before November 30, 1995. Acceptance notices will be mailed by January 30,1996. Camera-ready copies should be returned before March 30, 1996. The proceedings will be published and distributed at the workshop.
