Physical Design for Energy Efficient Nanoelectronics (formerly IDEA)
Our research activities are focused on modelling and simulation of nanoscale devices and interconnects for advanced CMOS and emerging technologies. We explore 1D/2D nanomaterials such as 2D TMDs, carbon nanotubes, nanoribbons, polymers, composites, etc. We are apply our expertise on nanoscale devices to the design of biomedical sensors for wearable health monitoring applications. Our core expertises are on physical design, design space exploration and optimisation methods for energy efficient circuits and systems. We apply our physical design expertise to explore novel computing paradigms such as quantum computing, neuromorphic computing for AI and monolithic 3D integration.
