Welcome to the webpage of Mathieu Mari.
I am assitant professor (Maître de conférences) at Université de Montpellier.
I am teaching at the departement of Computer science of the faculty of sciences, and doing reseach in LIRMM,
in AlGCo team. I am helping to organize our weekly seminar,
so if you are interested in giving a talk there, don't hesitate to contact me.
From 2017 to 2020, I pursued my PhD at École Normale Supérieure in Paris with Chien-Chung Huang and Claire Mathieu as my supervisors. My research mainly focused on designing and analysing algorithms for combinatorial optimisation problems on graphs. In 2020, I relocated to Warsaw to work with Piotr Sankowski at the University of Warsaw. During my time there, I concentrated on developing approximation algorithms for optimisation problems on graphs and geometrical packing problems. Later, I joined IDEAS-NCBR, a new Polish centre of innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, part-time. My work there involved the development of strong competitive bounds for classic online problems under under realistic stochastic assumptions on the input sequence. I am now Maître de Conférences at the University of Montpellier and I am currently interested by computational geometry, parameterized complexity, and structural graph theory.
