The GO term view

The GO term views show all genes that have been predicted in any given term by Gonna. Two views are available for each GO term: one for the uncharacterized genes that have no annotation in GeneDB for the ontology at hand, and the other one for the genes that are already annotated in this ontology in GeneDB (but not obligatory with this term). For the latter, a '+' symbol after the gene name indicates that the gene is already annotated by the term.

We provide for each gene the global degree of belief (GDB) and the confidence (TDRs) corresponding to each data source. The GDBs and TDRs are represented with a color code that goes from red (0%) to light green (100%) via yellow (50%). Non-significant TDRs are in grey. The "no" entry indicates that the prediction is not supported by the source, while "-" means that no data are available in the source for this gene.

By clicking on a TDR, the K characterized nearest neighbors that support/does not support this prediction are shown, along with their associated profiles (for the transcriptomic and proteomic sources). Moreover, by passing over any TDR an info bubble appears, which provides the p-value of the Fisher test and the number of characterized genes used to estimate this TDR. Clicking on any gene opens the corresponding gene view.

The GO term view can be accessed by querying for a specific GO term in the top banner, or by clicking on a term name in the gene view or in the global views.

Printing: Several web browsers do not handle long tables printing. One solution is then to select, copy and paste the table into Excel or the OpenOffice spreadsheet. This provides ready to print documents that preserve the colors of the html pages.
