Professor, University of Montpellier

Since 2003, I have been full professor at the engineering school of the University Montpellier II (namely Polytech'Montpellier, formerly ISIM). I deliver lectures in the electrical engineering department of both Polytech'Montpellier and University Montpellier II.

Delivered courses

I teach the following courses (as of academic year 2011-2012) :

  • Analog integrated circuits for beginners : MOS models for analog design, current mirrors, basic current sources and elementary stages (common gate, common source and source follower).
  • Basic analog integrated circuits : MOS technology and manufacturing, MOS models and elementary stages (current sources and single transistor stages), basic operational amplifier, dominant pole positioning.
  • Advanced analog integrated circuits : advanced current sources (Vdd insensitive and large swing), advanced operational amplifier behavior, cascode OPAMP, transconductance amplifier, specific structures
I also use to teach the following courses in past years :
  • Analog electronic systems for beginners : basic laws (Ohm's and Kirchoff), basic OPAMP circuits.
  • Basic analog electronic systems : OPAMP 2nd order filters, high order filter synthesis (Butterworth, Chebyshev, ...), stability of feedback electronic systems.
  • Advanced analog electronic systems : GmC and Switched Capacitor filters.
  • MEMS design and test for beginners : research-oriented course, exploring market and design examples (accelerometer, µcompass, pressure sensors, ...).

I've recently introduced integrated courses that typically includes lectures, tutored work and labs in the same timeslot (three to four hours).

Other responsibilities

  • co-Head of the "Integrated Circuits and Systems" curriculum of the MSc in electrical engineering of University Montpellier II : organization of all aspects of the curriculum (contents, teachers recruitment, examination, internships and research projects, ...).
  • Head of the Montpellier's Regional Center of the CNFM network.
  • Head of the CNFM National Resource Center.
  • Head of the PhD Speciality in "Systèmes Automatiques et Microélectroniques"of the PhD School in Information, Structures and Systems (http://www.edi2s.univ-montp2.fr/)
