I am a CNRS researcher (Directeur de Recherche) in the AlGCo team at LIRMM (University of Montpellier). My topics of interests are graph theory and algorithmic graph theory with special interest in graph decomposition methods, width parameters, graph classes and parameterized algorithms.

I defended my PhD in 1998 at University of Montpellier. After being assistant professeur at University of Bordeaux (LaBRI), in 2001, I obtained a permanent full-time researcher at CNRS and joint again LIRMM.

In 2007, when I returned from a sabbatical at McGill University (Montréal, Canada), with my colleagues from LIRMM, we created the research team AlGCo. I was col-leader of that team till  2011. Then I get involved in the direction team of my research department from 2010 to 2013 (as the head in the period 2012-2013). From 2015 to 2021, I was deputy director of LIRMM.
