Outreach regarding our work on cancer diagnostics

Highlights about our work in the media

Our work on glioma diagnostic published in September was highlighted in several scientific media, a local newspaper, and on the radio. Nice to see it is possible to reach a larger readership or audience beyond our scientific community. The pointers are listed below in this post.

The national Institute for Biological Sciences of the CNRS published a press release in French on its website later in September. The national Institute for Computing did the same on its website. This press release emphasises the novelty of using epitranscritomic marks as biomarkers in cancer, and the potential of this approach for molecular profiling and precision medicine.

Radio podcast presentation!

The regional newspaper “Midi Libre” published an interview of A. David, C. Hirtz and myself about these findings (in French) online and in print on October 15, 2022. The article emphasises that our study focuses on the RNA molecule, which is now well-known from the public, and its key role in cellular biology. The journalist also underlined both the social relevance and the importance of cancer research “made in Montpellier” for the future of medicine. Link on Midi Libre website accessible to registered users.

Finally, the University of Montpellier invited us to present this new diagnostic method on its weekly radio programme. The goal of this interview is to present the ideas and concepts of our approach in everyday language to a wide audience. Listen to the podcast of this interview, which is available online here.
