As part of a scientific mission in the United Kingdom, Ahmed Chemori, a researcher at the LIRMM, was recently invited to present his work at several prestigious institutions.

He began his stay in Bristol, at the School of Engineering of the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where he gave a lecture entitled ‘Motion Control of Small Autonomous Underwater Vehicles’. The talk was organised at the invitation of Prof. Quan Min Zhu and Dr Yufeng Yao.

The following day, he presented ‘Motion Control of Complex Robotics Systems’ at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL), which is sponsored by the University of the West of England and the University of Bristol. Ahmed Chemori warmly thanks Mark Hensen and all the colleagues at BRL for their welcome and organisation. The visit opened up prospects for collaboration between LIRMM and the Bristol Robotics Laboratory.

Continuing his visit, he was welcomed by the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group at the University of Liverpool, where he gave a lecture entitled ‘Motion Control of Complex Robotic Systems’. The visit provided an opportunity to talk to Prof. Chenguang Yang, Dr. Heba Lakany and other researchers from the group about promising prospects for collaboration between LIRMM and the University of Liverpool.

Finally, he presented a final lecture as part of the Department Seminar Series of the Department of Computer Science, which is still running.
