On 13 June, during VivaTech 2025 at the Parc Expo in Montpellier, which attracted more than 160,000 visitors over 4 days, Éric Bourreau, a researcher at LIRMM, took part in the round table From Lab to Industry: Accelerating the Quantum Leap in Occitania.
Alongside Franck Berthu (AD’OCC) and Kenneth Mussang (University of Montpellier – ISDM), he presented advances in hybrid HPC-quantum computing, and stressed the importance of bringing together research and industry.
Initiatives such as HQI and the Maison du Quantique show how Occitanie is actively preparing businesses to take advantage of quantum technology today.
