On the afternoon of March 11, 2026, Olivier Becht, Member of Parliament for Haut-Rhin, accompanied by his political advisor Benjamin Zaluski, visited LIRMM for a meeting with Abderrahmane Kheddar, Director of Research and specialist in humanoid robotics.
This visit was an opportunity to discuss scientific and technological advances in the field of humanoid robotics, as well as the challenges of research, innovation, and transfer to industry.
A presentation of our laboratory and all of its themes was also given by the deputy director, Abdoulaye Gamatié.
Following the discussions, a robot demonstration was organized in the laboratory’s robotics hall, showcasing several platforms and ongoing work at LIRMM. This demonstration provided a concrete illustration of the progress made by the laboratory’s teams in developing robots capable of interacting with their environment and with humans.
This meeting highlighted the role of LIRMM in robotics research and its commitment to the development of advanced technologies for science and innovation.
