Ahmed Chemori, a CNRS researcher at LIRMM, was invited to speak at the FutBotMX Cup 2026, Mexico’s largest robotics event, organized on June 25 and 26, 2026, by the Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI) on the Zacatenco campus of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico City.
On this occasion, he delivered a lecture titled “A Journey into the World of Robotics,” during which he shared his career journey and presented the major challenges of contemporary robotics to several hundred students from across the country.
The FutBotMX Cup brought together nearly 900 students and 53 teams for a soccer competition featuring fully autonomous robots. A true showcase of innovation, this event fosters exchanges among researchers, students, and institutional stakeholders while encouraging interest in scientific careers.
This invitation reflects the LIRMM’s international influence and is part of the scientific cooperation between France and Mexico, with the support of the French Embassy in Mexico and the French Institute of Latin America (IFAL).
