Colloquium J. Troccaz – Jeudi 19 novembre 2015
Robots, images and people…or…interdisciplinarity at the service of the patient
Abstract: In this talk, and through the presentation of some past and present projects, I will try to explain the nature of the research conducted in the Computer-Assisted Medical-Surgical Procedures team of the TIMC-IMAG laboratory in Grenoble. Motivated by clinical questions and in close interaction with the hospital and industrial sectors, this work aims to develop tools to improve the planning, simulation and execution of minimally invasive diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. They also contribute to the construction of evaluation reference systems for the procedure in a learning aid perspective. I will speak more specifically about my own activity in medical imaging and robotics.
