We are delighted to announce that Evangelos Protopapas, a former doctoral student at the LIRMM, has been awarded the 2025 Charles Delorme Prize for his outstanding work in the theory of graph minors. This prize, awarded each year by a jury of specialists in discrete mathematics, recognises the exceptional quality of his research and his contribution to this central area of graph theory.
The jury also awarded two runners-up prizes to Ugo Giocanti, for his original work at the interface between graph theory, group theory and symbolic dynamics, and to Lucas Picassari-Arrieta for the richness of his results in directed graph colouring.
The particularly high level of applications this year made the jury’s deliberations difficult, testifying to the vitality of research in this field.
Congratulations to Evangelos Protopapas and all the winners for their outstanding scientific contributions!
