SMILE: Système Multi-agent, Interaction, Langage, Evolution

The research activities of the SMILE team (Multi-agent Systems, Interaction, Language, Evolution [French: Système Multi-agent, Interaction, Langage, Evolution]) center on the multi-agent system paradigm. This paradigm is used to study, model and implement distributed or concurrent systems composed of intelligent and autonomous entities (including artificial agents and humans) that interact with each other. The main lines of research include the design and development of new, engine-embedded multi-agent models, Web Science research, serious and ludic games, semantic web and ontologies, argumentation and reasoning with preferences.
