I'm working as research engineer in a robotic surgical training project supported by the French Laboratory of Excellence Labex-CAMI (French ANR within the Investissements d’Avenir Program).

Mainly I am located at the lab of the new Medical School of Montpellier and at the Robotics Department of the LIRMM, which is the Montpellier Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics, and Microelectronics. The LIRMM is part of the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research).

The goal of my research is to objectively improve the training of surgeons to conduct robotically-assisted minimally-invasive surgeries. In our lab, we use teleoperated robots like the Da Vinci surgical robots used in the operating room. My contribution is the development of: custom haptic devices, the study of physical human-robot interaction, training with the robots, virtual reality simulations, conduct test campaigns, and data analysis.
